U1 With Sevanthi 10000 - Panjaa by sevanthi

The theme song Panjaa incorporates the retro 80’s   style music with catchy rhythms and punchy hook. An engaging, racy mix

Ela Ela... tune is pulsating with techno beats fueling up the song. Singers Haricharan, Shwetha Pandit , give us that melody feel that  amalgamates with the melodic line

Veyira Cheyyi...High pitched, soaring vocals by Saloni works well for this semi folk’ish number . Regurgitated rhythms and an archaic ‘bad girl’ template adds masala to this number

Anukoneleduga... is a  sad version of Ela Ela , with clear vocals and melody feel

Paparayudu... Well this is telugu version of yuvan’s kuthu style music.Pawan kalyan has himself lent his voice at places. Kind of funny, feels though .

After the sad demise of his mother, Yuvan bounces back with a powerful Panjaa, topped by stand out theme song.

Aambalaikkum Pombalaikkum…A folk’sh style singing by VELMURUGAN , describing the modern time love and mishandling of peoples self-interested pursuits. A worthy listen

Aathadi Manasudhan… Both the female and male versions are exceptional in terms of melody and lyrical wise … Yuvan brings back the golden Ilaya Raja style composition that stands out, A mesmerizing show stopper of the album. A must listen

Paadhakathi Kannupattu… Yuvan imparts his vocals to bring that yearning feel to this melody number, especially the second charnam “Manasu muzukka aasa” brings in that solace

Vaadi Vaadi…: Pushpavanam Kuppusamy, Tamil Nadu very own renowned folk singer  infusing his vocals for maximum impact , but the tune is a big let down ..

Kazhugu is tunefully a strong offering from Yuvan Shankar Raja

3 single , Why this Kolaveri di{Mp3 2011}

3 single , Why this Kolaveri di{Mp3 2011}

It’s Pandemonium over “kola-veri”

The trend of catchy and trashy lyrics seems to be gripping Tamil film music over the recent past. The song “Why this Kola-veri di” seems to be an, add on to list of awful lyrics absorbing the music listeners throughout …

The song is an instant hit due to its catchy, casual style of interpreting notions of a love failure, after all  lyrics say thatJ

THE REAL QUESTION – Is Dhanush and his team, making a big production out of this song!

“Earlier, it used to be the number of cassette’s sold. Then, number of CDs sold. Now, it is number of views on YouTube in a particular time frame.”

This song was leaked on Facebook first and then Sony Music scrambled to make a hastily shot video (the in-studio video says it all) AVAILABLE ON YOU TUBE OFFICIALLY, to salvage whatever they can.

The lyrics needs to stand out, but here it is for all the wrong reasons
We do question, when a film maker adds exploitative scenes to sell tickets, so why not question when lyrics are engineered this way, intentionally.

Call it soup song, flop song or whatever, is definitely a chart topper and would continue to be a pandemonium all over.
Will have to wait and watch!
